Research has shown that mental health issues such as stress are on an increase. A recent Deloitte study of corporate employees in India found that more than 80% employees are suffering from at least one mental health stress symptom such as anxiety, sleep related issue, etc. According to the study this has cost organisations about $14 billion in just a year. The World Health Organisation states that globally, 12 billion working days are lost each year due to stress and anxiety alone.

 

Stress can manifest itself in variety of ways including fatigue, irritation and restlessness, forgetfulness, brain fog, tensions, aches and pains, mood swings, loss of interest, lack of focus and motivation, increased anxiety, and headaches. These are responsible for poor performance, burn out, reduced productivity and increased absenteeism.

 

Therapy in the workplace is increasingly becoming popular and many businesses are now using it as an effective way to alleviate employee stress and burnout. Such sessions are enhancing performance and increasing productivity. So, how about offering your employees a therapy session for them to relax, rejuvenate and de-stress? Wellbeing sessions can be 45 to 60 minutes and can be great for restoring the energy balance.
